Without doubt one of the best riders in the country, Dan's climb up the senior ranks has been very impressive. After an very good start to his senior career in 2008, Dan won his first senior International class in 2009 and finished the year in very impressive fashion winning two classes at the Porto CSI**** International show in December. 2009 also included numorous wins at home including the Crofton Manor Grand PRIX and victory at Royal Windsor. On the home front Dan has won the Olympia U23 Great Britian Championships at Olympia.
The last few seasons have seen Dan develop into a top class rider and he has established his International pedigree with a string of successes abroad. He has produced some outstanding international five star horses including Zigali PS, Congo Bongo, Varo M and Chauvanist and Dan contines to be a top class developer of talent.
Based in Essex at the high class equestrian yard Aspen Stables, Dan and the team have built up a very impressive squad of horses for 2017 including the very exciting 8yr olds Strides Hattens Treasure & Cirrus, who has produced some outstanding results including back to back Grand Prix wins in Italy last year. Newton Nickel and Major Delacour have been the stable stars in 2017 with both winning multiple times in world ranking events the latest being a Grand Prix victory in the Autumn MET Tour. 2017 has been another hugely successful year for this highly talented International class rider.
"I'm really pleased with the way the 2017 season has gone. We have concentrated on going abroad to gain experience for the horses and they all have improved because of this exposure. I have a great team at Aspen stables behind me, I have some exceptional owners together with some high class sponsors, including Hermes Sellier, Equilibrium, Balanced Horse Feeds, TRM and Group Metals Business Ltd. Our main objective for 2017 was to be competitive in the very best shows and to keep improving the horses and I think we have achieved that. We will carry on building the team and push for some International team events."
